A Mercurian View

With everything going on in my life lately, I missed a message from Gadi Eidelheit on my Venusian Sunset image pointing to his fantastic collection of Earth from Space images over on thevenustransit.com. In particular, this one!

This is an image of Earth and the Moon, as seen by MESSENGER, far far away in orbit around Mercury. Earth really is beautiful, isn’t it? Our glittering little blue jewel in the night. Our planet is such a tiny crucible. We really should try out best to take care of it, don’t you think?
