The most astounding fact…

So it seems, as I wax technical on the drama of how stars fill the cosmos with the stuff that makes us, Zen Pencils creates a frankly breathtaking comic panel, illustrating one of Neil Degrasse Tyson’s most poigniant speeches. Don’t question it, just take 2 minutes out from whatever you may be doing right now, and go and see the rest (the panel I’ve posted here is a clickthrough too). You won’t regret it.

Zen Pencils, incidentally, takes inspirational quotations and illustrates them. His work is marvellous. You really should spend a while looking over his site!

With a sagely nod to His Badness, Phil Plait, and looks of admiration and wonderment to Gavin Aung Than for this one!

No problem. And using this in outreach is a brilliant idea. I don’t think anything would do a better job of helping them to realise what it all means. :)

Oh, this is so well done! Thank you!
I’m teaching a summer academy for the German equivalent of high school students this summer about stellar evolution and I think that comic will be the perfect intro either into the whole things or at least into the final part on enrichment :) :)
