Astrochemical Shenanigans

So I may not have been blogging much recently. I seem to be a bit of a rubbish blogger lately. But then, I have a whole host of other things I should be writing at the moment, including at least 4 journal papers to finish off. Still…

I’m currently here:

IAU Symposium 280: The Molecular Universe

Over 450 astrochemists, from the famous right down to the lowly ones like me, all gathered together in Toledo, Spain for the week to talk science. And occasional tomfoolery. It’s heartening to know that the astrochemistry community is so big! Not just all those in attendance, and according to one of the organisers, there were over 150 more who had to be turned away because the venue would have been over capacity. It’s quite impressive and gratifying to be able to be a part of all of this.

(It’s also rather nice to have your work mentioned in someone’s talk at one of these events!)

About Invader Xan

Molecular astrophysicist, usually found writing frenziedly, staring at the sky, or drinking mojitos.
