Sagan’s Birthday

Ladies and gentlemen, today is November 9th. 76 years ago today, was the birthday of a man who inspired millions with talk of billions. A man who could say all of the things I’d like to say far better than I could ever say them. Carl Sagan. And if you ever have the slightest doubt about the huge legacy that Carl left on the world, just type his name into Google. His name, and the words he left behind mean as much today as they did back when he was still alive, to as many, if not to more people.

Happy birthday, Carl. We miss you.

It was watching Cosmos in January of 2008 that made me decide I wanted to – and could – get in to science. Now I’m doing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Museum Studies in the hope that one day, I, too, can inspire people to find wonder in the universe they live in.
