Galaxy Garden

Possibly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen…

The Galaxy Garden!

When I do get to go to Hawaii, I totally have to visit this place!

Guess it’s just an excuse to go back, huh? ;)

I visited Hawaii about three years ago, but it was through a cruise line so I never even knew about the Galaxy Garden until now. Darn, now I feel my vacation wasn’t entirely complete! D: That place looks so cool!

Wow… I must’ve missed that part. That’s very cool. I’m guessing it’d work with anything — though bare feet might hurt a bit.
The place really is a work of art. Simply stunning!

The meticulousness! Oh my goodness. I cannot believe this: “Groundcloth is laid between the spiral arms to block weeds. Cinder is then spread over the arms for paths. The cinder represents interstellar dust. When it is walked on, the crunchy sound is remarkably like the sound of radio emissions from space.” That must be so fun to walk on. I wonder if the sound is produced only with shoes, certain types of shoes, bare feet, or anything producing friction…

Wow… Just imagine growing up somewhere like Hawaii.
I bet there are plenty of other interesting sights around there!

Oh absolutely! I love all the thought that’s gone into it.
Like using hibiscus flowers to look like the Triffid nebula…
    Genius. :)

Did you catch the part about the fountain that symbolizes the black hole … has a jet (of water). Very cool!

  8. That’s totally kick-ass! I should as my friend if there is anything else cool near this (she grew up in Hawaii).
