Money and Time

Time. n.
A nonspatial continuum
flowing seemingly irreversibly
from start to finish.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned on here yet, but I’m currently juggling my degree with a job. For a few weeks now, I’ve been part-time Centre Secretary for the Nottingham University Business School. To be honest, the plan all along had been to get a job to fund the studying…

But my God, how I miss having my daytimes free. I have over a month’s worth of loose notes to write up in my lab book. Previously, I’d done all of my writing up during the daytime. Now I have about 10 pages of notes on molecular carbon allotropes and another big stack (which I’m a little afraid to count) about UV/vis spectroscopy and fine structure broadening.

Still, in about a week, I get a paycheque. Ah, the joy of payday.
Funny how these things are always a trade-off between money and time…
