Sun Kwok

We have a visitor!
Tomorrow afternoon, our group sees a visit from Hong Kong University’s Professor Sun Kwok. One of the world’s leading authorities on the late stages of stellar evolution, his Interacting Stellar Winds model is the standard theory of planetary nebula formation — which led to the discovery of pre-planetary nebulae. He’s authored numerous articles and papers about chemical synthesis around AGB stars, and discovered the 21 micron emission feature observed in some stellar spectra. Basically, he’s a guru in everything I research, with his own Wikipedia entry and everything!

Needless to say, I’m quite looking forward to it! Should be a great chance to learn a few things…
