Jigsaw pieces

So my current task on stellar photospheric chemistry is currently a lot like one of those huge 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. I know how it’s supposed to look, but it’s been a matter of identifying each piece and fitting them together in the right places. Admittedly, this has taken longer than planned, mainly because of various disruptions in January (exams, being out of town and suchlike). That said, I can tell I’m nearing the end of the puzzle, because the pieces are fitting much more easily now.

In fact, with the exception of a couple of small holes, everything’s starting to make perfect sense. It’s quite a buzz when things click into place and you understand. I shall own you, quantum mechanics. Yes I shall.
