7 hours of Perseids

Unfortunately, every year when I’m actually able to go and try to watch the Perseid shower, the same thing happens. Inevitably it’s cloudy, and I somehow end up seeing as many satellites as I do actual meteors. Not that I mind spotting satellites…

Thankfully, David Kingham had no such problem up on Snowy Range, Wyoming. This gorgeous image captures the full awe of the year’s most splendid meteor shower. Just look at those colours!

The image is from David’s photostream on flickr, where you can find more details of this brilliant 23 image composite – plus many many more fantastic photographs!

With a tip of the hat for ikenbot for reposting this!
